Faustino Hernan Asprilla Hinestroza, the former Colombian striker, has called time on his soccer career. He will be remembered by many as an undeniably talented soccer star with an unpredictable temper. He is nicknamed 'The Octopus' in his country for his flexible and fluid style. To the people in England and Italy, he is 'Tino', or '2 goal Tino', as his goals usually came in twos.
Asprilla bids farewell from the sport in a farewell game in Medellín. Iván Ramiro Córdoba,‘Pibe’ Valderrama, Harold Lozana, ‘Tren’ Valencia, ‘Chicho’ Serna and the Brazilians Roque Junior, Liz and Aílton graced the field to bid the Colombian legend farewell.
