Steven Gerrard was found not guilty of affray at Liverpool Crown Court.

The Liverpool captain had attacked Marcus McGee in the Lounge Inn when he refused to play his music. His punch on McGee caused him to lose a tooth.

Judge Henry Globe said to Gerrard: " The verdict is a credible verdict on the full facts of this case, and you walk away from this court with your reputation intact."

I think I will keep a distance from Gerrard if I see him in a Liverpool pub. It is impossible for a Liverpool jury to find him guilty.. Just in case he decides to punch me..

Alex Curran is frugal-What a WAG!

Alex Curran is becoming more conscious of her spending. Which means she is thrifty..

"I think people - especially Wags - are becoming more conscious of spending now," she said.


The wife of Steven Gerrard now visits the hairdresser only twice a week, and has resorted to filing her own nails. "I'm not that bothered about pampering. I do my nails myself. The nail varnish I'm wearing was only £2 from a bargain bin!" she said, insisting that she was not high maintenance. (telegraph)

She also prefers nights in at the couple's multi-million pound Merseyside home to expensive nights out. "I used to be such a party girl but now I know that if I have a big night out I'll sleep late the next day and will probably eat junk food. I've turned down a few nights out already."

This lady stays in a multi-million home. Whats makes her think that she is frugal?? Her husbands makes 140k pounds a week! Rather than saving money, she should spend more! This will stimulate the economy and make this world a better place!

I Am Rich And Happy! -Says Steven Gerrard

How much should Gerrard be paid? Is 140000 pounds a week the right figure? There is economic recession all over the world and here he is, drawing AIG like salary.

"I have never been happier throughout my whole career than I am at the moment," Gerrard said.

"I have two years left on my contract and if there was a chance to extend it, I am sure I would.

I think anyone would extend their contract when they are paid 140k a week! I admit Steven Gerrard is an excellent player but is he really worth so much, on a weekly bassis? I personally know some friends of mine playing in the semi-pro league and getting thousands of times lesser than he does.

Is he a few thousand times better than an average footballer? Unless he have 5 legs and six lungs, i don't think he is so much better.



Feeling happy, with his fighting case off his mind he had been able to lavish praises on Benitez, a manager he use to hate in his earlier playing days in Liverpool.

"Maybe when I was a bit selfish when I was younger," he reflected. "I used to think of myself a bit too much when he was playing me out of position.

"I should have taken a deep breath and realised it was for the team.

"But, at the moment, he is playing me in my favourite position, I am captain and we are winning. Our relationship has got stronger as time has gone by.

"For years and years I have moaned about not being involved in a title race and being far away from the others.

"At the moment, I am playing in a team that's capable of beating anyone in the league."

Gerrard Has Something To Say To Manchester United

Gerrard says "The important thing is that we have made the gap smaller (United lead by four points still with a game in hand). We realise that Manchester United are a fantastic team and there's still a lot of work to do.

"We'll need a little bit of luck along the way but hopefully that gives teams that are going to play against Manchester United a bit of belief that they can be beaten. And hopefully it will give us a lot of confidence to go on and win as many games as we can."
